MMA History lesson: Oswaldo Alves

I was watching Brazilian jiu-jitsu grandmaster Oswaldo Alves's instructional DVD and noticed that he works the gi like judokas in the old Kosen judo videos. He demonstrated the stomach arm lock (hara-gatame) and side triangle choke (yoko sankaku jime). These two moves are not often seen in Brazilian jiu-jitsu or MMA.

Although a great influence in the early development of Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Alves seems to move a little differently from the typical BJJ guys. Alves has trained with the legendary Masahiko Kimura and two times Olympic gold medalist Isao Okano (two of the greatest ever in the history of Judo) as well as Yasuhiro Yamashita and is said to have brought back side control techniques into Brazilian jiu-jitsu, the judo style newaza influence can be seen in this DVD.

Current ICF World Champion Adam "The warrior Max" Johnson just published his first book, titled "Seventh". This book is over 400 pages and includes some of the highest level matches ever played in kurnik with some of the world's strongest opposition.

- Includes over 200 games played against the ACF World Champion Alexander "The Russian bear" Moiseyev and 100 games played against the world contender Michele Borghetti.

- Thousands of games between Max and the second best ICF champion ever, the legendary Fredo. This book includes over nine of their best matches in long timer.

- Hundreds of games with legends like Quentin "the beast", Jayzilla, Ray, Jolt and Sergio. All together, 2,188 games!

The warrior Max was generous enough to give you this book all for free: http://filepost.com/files/73839d91/Seventh.pdf/

I also reuploaded Vladimir Kaplan's draughts opening book: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=EQ2REDVA

Today will be my last day on kurnik for a while, need some time off. Have been playing too much this summer. Went 237-262-192 vs the warrior Max in gayp this summer in eleven series. Also Fredo wants me to not forget to mention that he became the kurnik 1/1 champion by defeating Jolt in a brutal 18-10 series. Jolt is currently in training, studying Alex Moseiyev's book Sixth and several other books and is expected to face the dark horse Sergio and the warrior Max in November on his way back to a title shot vs Fredo. Ray declined to challenge for Fredo's title.

Old drawings from the last decade

I drew this while working with the park board back in the summer of 2001. Alfredo commented that my style is simple but effective enough.
This is probably one of my first flower drawings ever and one of the last. It was from a branch off the backyard back in the spring of 2002. When the legendary Chia Lee visited our class, one of the girls said Chee you're good and I really liked your cherry flower drawing but the master Chia is here. Chia brought in portfolios with like 30-40 professionally done drawings. Guy was just so good, made my drawings look like garbage next to them.
This was one of the three drawings we had to do for art class to go along with the ceramics. Also from the spring of 2002 during the time I was in art class with Lee "hitman" Yang under the direction of TA Ms.Place. The master Sao Thao did this drawing and I just shaded it. Ms.Place was impressed lol, hoped I continue drawing.
This was the 2003-04 color pencil shading style that I started using. Another more technical rose and a few non-girly drawings using the same style are lost. I think this was my last drawing, I have not drawn since 2004 and was never a serious artist. My training consisted of drawing on the edge of my paper when I'm bored in class in elementary school. The girls in my art class in 2003 were impressed and wanted me to draw for them lol.
I got these early drawings of legendary Chia Lee from my sister that were drawn in 1999. He was still developing at that time and would go on to become one of the greatest artist that Edison high school has ever produced. Unfortunately I do not have any of his later drawings. When I drove him home last summer from the soccer tournament and saw his few current drawings, he seemed rusty. He had sold all of his 2002 drawings so I didn't get to take a look at them again.

Ink drawings of animals, flowers and couples cuddling were the favorite drawings of Chia. His drawing of a pelican eating some fish was very very technical.

I would say that I am definitely a lot better than the Chia Lee of 1999. In 2002 when he visited us in art class, none of my drawings can come even close to his level. I am probably a little bit better in color pencil shading but overall not even close.

Crossing path with Boston Scientific once more

I came to Boston Scientific a little bit before Hanh did. It was Shiong Vang aka Shag of Slip Coat department's older brother that was good friends with my sister, who brought her there. Then she brought my brother and I.

I worked with my U of M classmate Pia and my brother worked with Mee La, a Connecticut Hmong girl. At that time the clean room was still under Lue Yang's control. Then it went to JD, then me then Noel and now a Mexican girl. Me, Kong and Chor were the greatest team they ever had in the clean room.

I kinda worked with Acuity, NGTA and Material Control and operated both at PTC and Maplegrove. They offered me to come back to Material Control at Coon Rapids and Maplegrove but I declined, citing the wish to move on.

However it looks like I will cross path with the medical device giant once again. The ICF has asked me to propose a sponsorship deal with Boston Scientific on behalf of former world champion Alex Moiseyev. I will troll the company and secure this deal. Boston Scientific will want to back their products and strengthen their global market.

The challenger Mr.Moiseyev has many supporters in the United States, Russia, China, Italy, Ukraine, Ireland, England and many other countries and the champion Mr.Borghetti has over 60,000 supporters in Italy behind him. It will be a good promotional opportunity for the company and a stupid one for them to dismiss.

First Borghetti must get pass Kondlo in September. If Kondlo wins, this deal will be off. I know the ACF and FID will be very excited about this match and looking forward to Mr.Moiseyev's deal with Boston Scientific.

latest analysis on the Chee Will o' the Wisp opening

Many greats including world champions Miki Borghetti, Sergio Scarpetta and Alex Mosieyev has been defeated in Chee's variation of the Will o' the Wisp opening. This variation first came into use in Kurnik in 2006 by the great master Darion "the game", who defeated legends Juan and Max on the same day with this line. While briefly noted in Kears as a draw, no further play were given in the literature.

I learned that this opening was named after a phenomenon known as the Will o' the Wisp or Jack o' Lantern, mysterious lights seen at night (which is what inspired the Jack o' Lantern pumpkin carvings during Halloween). The phenomenon is known as Dab Ntxaug in Hmong.

The ICF has formally promoted Lorne Wells to 1st degree black belt, Grandmaster Lubabalo Kondlo also has been given the red belt recognition by the ICF.

First of all,  we want to thank Mr.Wells for representing the ICF in the national American freestyle tournament and congratulations on your submission victory over Alex Weaver. Mr.Weaver was the arch rival of my top female student, Celia Puente who was no joke on the mat.

Vitamin B6 implicated

An engineer and one of my biochemical advisor has determined that there is a problem along the metabolic pathway of dopamine, norepinephrine, epinephrine, GABA and gluatamate involving vitamin B6 and possibly enzyme deficiencies. Further testings and analysis are in order.

Girl #1: Eye Sit Yao

Status: troll zone, ex-coworker (Boston Scientific, different department)

Feelings and thoughts: Cute, friendly and flirty girl. She's loud, wild, outgoing, loves to sing and a hardcore music fan. Very hot and cold and also a lot of up and downs. My first shift counterpart said that she'll tell you random things one day then next time you try to say hi, she'll just turn and start walking away. Play games (like many girls do). Like most girls, she loves attention. Likes to kiss. Parties hard and is a heavy drinker (like other Connecticut Hmong girls I know of), maybe even smokes weed too. Likes cool men with tattoos. I sense that she has some things going on in her life and hope that she is doing okay because I do care and want her to be safe and happy, whatever she is doing now or whoever she is with. She thought I was funny because I was reserved, sometimes making her feel uncomfortable being too aloof and quiet. Like all people, she wants love and happiness. If she's went on and found it, I am very happy for her.

Energy vibe: Liberal/non-traditionalist. Extro-introvert. Very energetic. Happy sometimes, sad sometimes. Generally more on the negative side.

Recommendation: From her later social cues and overall behavior, she's best kept in troll zone.
Girl #2: Monica

Status: friend zoneclose friend, top adviser, technical adviser, female adviser, same hobby, ex-college classmate (University of Minnesota)

Feelings and thoughts: Close friends but annoying as fck, has a lot of issues and anger problems. Very stubborn and unwilling to make compromises or changes in her life. Whenever she text you, it's almost always bad news. It's suspicious that she's always broke with a 67 k job. I'm like a big brother to her. I remember when she used to talk about studying social work at the U, lot of time has passed since those days I would have to open her old files to remember how she was like in those days.

Energy vibe: Conservative. ExtrovertSomewhat energetic, kind of polarizing. Very negative and lots of dramas.

Recommendation: Unfriend her until she gets her shit together, like anyone else she shouldn't get special treatments
Girl #3: Hanh

Status: friend zone, female adviser, ex-coworker (Boston Scientific, same department)

Feelings and thoughts: She's playful and cool. Like James, Nick, Gloria, Judy, Nuyeen etc. from Boston Scientific, she thought I was too quiet and tried to get me to open up more. I facebook message and text with her once in a blue moon.

Energy vibe: Liberal. Intro-extrovert. Somewhat laid back. Neutral, lending towards positive
Girl #4: Karlita aka bonissss

Status: troll zone, female adviser, same hobby, Spanish translator

Feelings and thoughts: Very sensitive, emotional and annoying as fck, I like to piss her off. She'll be mad for a few months then be happy again. She's always wanting to know what I really think of her. Knows a lot about alcohol, narcotics and Cancun. Like most women, she seeks attention and is very insecure although very cocky too. She thinks she's hot and can play games with people or get whatever she wants, I guess it works with most but not with me. She hates my sixth sense and how I sort of know everything. Calls me a "metiche", Spanish for someone who is nosy. She wasn't going to give me any more pictures but I trolled her for this one.

Energy vibe: Conservative. Extro-introvert. Somewhat energetic. Somewhat negative, drama queen.

Recommendation: Stay in troll zone
Girl# 5: Mai

Status: friend zone, wing girl

Feelings and thoughts: She's a pretty girl and super cool, I have a lot of respect for her. She loves going out to eat good food. Very positive and friendly. There is not a lot of Asian girls with her charisma and charm. She wanted a hug from me for caring about her. She has great value as a friend/wing girl.

Energy vibe: Liberal. I'll say an intro-extrovert. Somewhat energetic. She's very positive for the most part although has her up and downs like the rest of us. If Mai can sometimes feel left out or feeling down, or have dramas going on then what chances does the rest of us have? If even Mai is feeling down sometimes, just imagine some other girls.

Girl #1: Eye Sit Yao

Troll zone. She was a friendly girl at my old work place who reached out to my coworker and I. We were members of the Material Control team at the time. She seemed to want to be friends but her behaviors were hot and cold so she was put into troll zone.

Case: Eye Sit Yao
Opened: April 17, 2014
Status: Case closed September 3, 2015

Mug Shot:
Referring Agency: 2013/2014 BSC 3rd shift Material Control
Investigating Agency: Chee Social Science Department, assisted by the Chee Intelligence Agency
Probable cause: erratic behaviors with indicators of interest, possible crush or perceived crush

Conclusion of investigation: Eye Sit Yao was just a friendly young girl who might have mistaken my nervousness for a crush and wanted to mess around and see if I really liked her (for ego boost). She have at least some interest and that interest can be as low as just wanting attention (typical female). When I went and got her number she only gave one word responses, indicating that she has lost interest, expected an aggressive pursuit or has no real interest and now might have mistakenly think that I like her and she don't feel the same, therefore doesn't want to be friends. This was my thought in the initial conversation with my 3rd shift counterpart about Eye. It's like how my sister used to come to NGTA to mess around with the Hmong guys just for attention and having no real interest. Or when she would tell me that these guys has been eyeing her earlier and I was there and didn't see anything lol. I remember when Eye told Nick that people in the clean room be looking at her chest lol. It's that female trait. That or Eye just has a very wild and weird style of being friendly to people.

Possibility number two, she was looking for love but when I did not pursue (I couldn't due to health reasons, I did my best), she naturally went into auto-rejection mode and rejected me first. Now that she's moved on and possibly found a boyfriend, she does not want to be friends or anything especially since friendship was not established while we worked at BSC. If this is the case, she might have some resentment for me and or no respect for me.

Recommendations and corrective actions: She's not interested in anything, including being friends. She was just a young girl looking for attention and or she was interested at least in being friends at some point but lost interest and moved on. I will put her in the troll zone and still consider her a friend, one that I'll annoy once in a while. She's still a cool girl that have had a positive influence on me. Deputy chief social advisor Himhim and chief female advisor Monica of the Chee Social Science Department signed the closing of her case on September 3rd 2015.

Eye Sit Yao and guys like James Morlu and Nick from Boston Scientific gave me a hard time which made me put more efforts in being a more sociable and friendly guy and because of that I was able to go on and meet someone like Mai even though just a friend. I am grateful for having met Eye and the people of BSC. Some of the BSC people that influenced me or I respect the most includes Nick, Sauce, Lee, James, Eye Sit Yao, Brenda (RIP), Gloria etc.

Chief Social Advisor Eric Strange comments: If she ignores your texts, don't keep texting. Ignore and work on the next case, call and put real pressure on her or troll her.

K&C: If she have a boyfriend now, leave her alone even though you're just an acquaintance/friend.
Supplemental report from the Chee Intelligence Agency on Eye Sit Yao's case

Because Eye Sit Yao is a very interesting Hmong girl like Nuyeen Thao before her and acts erratically at times, we have requested the Chee Intelligence Agency (CIA) to do a more thorough investigation of her case. Having reached out to us, there is jurisdiction and an obligation to thoroughly investigate if only to do a welfare check. Here is the CIA's findings:

The CIA has found that Eye Sit Yao is a young girl that came straight out of high school into the work force (she may have briefly dabbled with college in Minnesota). Eye was a Connecticut Hmong girl who came to Minnesota with some family members shortly after high school, she now lives alone or with roommates/boyfriend in Hennepin County. Another girl name Mee La also came from Connecticut (they seem to know each other), both girls eventually started working at Boston Scientific in Maplegrove circa 2011-2012.

Like Karlita, Eye Sit Yao might have grew up with only one biological parent being around. Eye would often hang out with a lot of guys and she is a pretty girl but seems to have a hard time finding love. She seems to have some trust issues with men and maybe a low self esteem. Eye drank alcohol often, have at least one tattoo and possibly dabbled with drugs but turned her life around, with great hopes and dreams. In or around 2015 Eye found the love of her life, a friend turned lover and seemingly nice guy and family of non-Hmong descent. This boyfriend seems like the nice guy type that can love her which is what she needs.
How did Eye came to cross paths with Chee and who is this Chee? Chee is not just any Hmong guy, he is a world class competitor in mind sports in the 1/0 division of professional American draughts, a world class biochemical researcher, a biological and cultural anthropologist and feared investigator. Chee is also the brother of BSC warehouse legend Sheng and the successor to JD and Lue in the clean room. Chee was a quiet man that did not even want to talk to Material Control (Nick and the supervisor would often give him a hard time), prompting many in the department to ask if Chee and Sheng are even brothers and sisters. Even his little two year old niece hates him for being such an unfriendly guy. Chee is a fighter, not a lover. He's trying to change though cause of guys like Nick (Chee's sister is like a sister to him) putting pressure on him while at BSC.

Chee actually is a good guy if you get to know him, he helped trained Kong and Chor who together would go on to become the greatest Material Control team they have ever had in the clean room. Kong was a good Christian man and Chor was a guy with great integrity. In Eye's quest for love she eventually saw Chee as a prospect, mistaken Chee's nervousness for a possible crush (Chee actually thinks Eye is a pretty girl although he didn't have a crush) and reached out to Kong.

Having reached out to the good people and nice guys of Material Control, both Kong and Chee considered and took Eye very seriously although Chee initially thought that Eye could also simply just wanted attention. The CIA and others believes that Eye's interest was genuine considering that it's pretty crazy to be telling a stranger that you saw someone at a restaurant nine months ago and wanting to know more about that day. It's natural for a girl to get defensive and or lose interest but we believe she was genuinely interested at some point. This is very clear. That or Eye is an odd girl or has a massive ego.

But there was one problem, Chee is a very unhealthy man. Since that day on he often thought about Eye and went to see multiple doctors and specialists to try to get better so he can give an answer to Eye. However as that day never came, he decided to give her a good bye message on facebook before his time at BSC ends. Eye might have took that as a rejection. Before leaving BSC, Chee did went and get Eye's number even though he knows that there isn't much he can do other than be a friend. Eye is a great girl, she is pretty and she's got the total package. Chee wants nothing but the best for her and even though he cannot give her love, he is happy that she went and found the love of her life and he will always be there as a friend.

Eye made Chee try harder to be a friendlier guy. Without having met Eye, Chee would not have met another great girl... Mai. Today, Chee continues to try to better himself and to work on improving his health and life. If one day Chee gets better and go on to find love, Eye has helped him get there. Eye, Mai and of course the good people of BSC means a lot to Chee. Chee's top female advisor Monica authorized letting Eye see these troll posts as a closure on his end in the encounter with Eye.

Of course Chee still expects her to treat him as an ex-coworker and a friend he can call on to get advise from. If she acts strange or give one word responses that would be rude and a showing of feelings/grudges. The guy tried but couldn't do better than he did. Now that you have a boyfriend, let it all go. Don't be telling your boyfriend oh it's that creepy loser. No he is still an ex-coworker, one of the good people and nice guys of Material Control. Besides being a quiet and anxious guy, he is no different than any other material handlers be it Deuce, Nate, Chor, Kong, Nick, Steve, JD etc.

Chee was in a lose-lose situation. To go out with the girl, he is not ready and in poor health it won't work out. To not go out with the girl, she's a great girl and she will be hurt. Either way it was going to suck for Chee. But I'm glad that Eye went and found love and like the rest of the good people of Material Control, Chee will always be there as a friend. And again because of Eye, Chee went on and tried harder to better. That is how Chee met the great Mai, who currently works for him as the lead wing girl in the Asian division of the Chee Social Science Department.

Girl #2: Monica
Friend zone. Monica and I have no interest in each other, she is into Christian white boys and more recently Korean pop stars. She also has established the friend zone by acting as a female advisor and one time tried to hook me up with her University of Minnesota white cheerleader friends back in the day. I sometimes talk with her about the guys in her life and about the girls I'm dealing with. Today Monica acts as an IT technical advisor, serves as my current top female advisor and a friend in general.

Girl #3: Hanh
Friend zone. She was the princess of the line. We established friend zone when she would encourage me to find a girl and get married and I would get advice from her sometimes about women. She thinks I ignore women too much and that would make them lose interest.

Girl #4: Karlita aka bonissss
Troll zone. A troll zone happens when you don't take someone serious enough or both of you don't respect the other enough. A troll zoned person is still a friend, but you just don't take them as seriously. I'm cool with Karlita but she's paranoid and think I want her or something. She gives me advice on women sometimes. The reason she's in troll zone and not friend zone is because she doesn't trust me enough, won't even add me on facebook (thinks I will steal all her pictures lol) so can't take her seriously. Knowing all the tricks in the female book, she give me insights on women and their games sometimes. She works for the Latin division of the Chee Social Science Department, with expertise on alcohol, sex, narcotics and female behavior. She also thinks I ignore women too much. I remember the first time I ran into Eye Sit Yao at Tay Ho, that day I was telling Karlita that this girl Eye at work is kinda cute but I'm not looking right now and I don't want to go to church tomorrow to meet people/girls (July 22, 2013).

Chief Social Advisor Eric Strange comments: She's so used to getting her ass kissed, don't do it.

Midnight comments: If she tries to treat you like shit, cut her off.
Karlita will have to worry about a new female champ in town: Natalia Sadowska

Girl #5: Mai

Friend zone: When I met this girl, I knew that she is a very special girl. She has great potential as a friend or wing girl and has a great personality. I friend zoned her right away. She is too cool and too valuable as a friend that I only see her potential as a cool and pretty ally.

Questions and Answers with Chee about playok:

1. Q. Sasuke said that if he played the game for ten years, his game will be perfect and he will beat most of the players today including the greats such as Darion "the game", what is your opinion?

A. Assuming he has the same heart and talent as me, he will still find it difficult to defeat Darion 5 years from now. Many players today are not at a level where they can appreciate the skills of someone like "the game". When Mark and I were younger we thought the same thing, but as we became top players we start to understand. Not everyone who has been playing for 10 years would be a great player. It is also harder to improve as you get better especially if you're not playing against top competition all the time, this is call diminishing returns. See: http://aoxomoxoa-wondering.blogspot.com/2012/04/plateauing-and-diminishing-returns-in.html

2. Q. Alvaro alleged to authorities that Sasuke was progging on the nick vitocorleone4, what is your ruling on this? (screen shot by Alvaro below)

A. After an investigation by Max and myself, it was determined that vitocorleone4 is not Sasuke (no es Sasuke). While it's weird that vitocorleone4 spoke Spanish to Alvaro after Alvaro booted Sasuke, the evidence led us to believe that vitocorleone4 is the Pat Tucci prog (Pat speaks English, Italian and Spanish). The lassie line matches those of Pat and vitocorleone4 only called Alvaro a maricon, he did not mention anything about getting booted as alleged by Alvaro to Nick. See octopus1 x ipr0itmaster.

3. Q. What do you think of Sasuke? It seems like he has been making big improvements in gayp, is he a brown belt now?

A. Sasuke has definitely been improving. It was only a few months ago when Juanit0 and Alvaro were beating him bad and now the tide has turned. Juanit0 and Alvaro claim that he has been lagging them bad and that is part of the problem why they are struggling. From a technical standpoint however, I can say that Sasuke has for sure gotten better. Is he this phenom world beater? No, far from it. Also, I do not think he meets the standards to be promoted to brown belt yet. Darion "the game" agrees with this assessment. He will need to improve his crossboard and obtain better results against high level players for the brown belt.

4. Q. Authorities told us that the Mexicans wants to see Sasuke face you Chee, what do you think of this match? How do you see it going down?

A. I am aware that Sasuke has been a terror in the Mexican and Latino community recently and many Mexicans, both men and women wants to see Sasuke test himself against me. Some want to see Sasuke go down and others hope Sasuke can overcome me. I think it will go much like our last match, he will lose similarly at this point. In fact I am not interested in a match with Sasuke right now. If Sasuke can defeat Tom, I will consider a match with him when and if I return to the game. Right now it is 8-2, 9-8 and 10-3 in favor of Tom, the fat weedman. Someone e-mailed the story below to me, this guy must not like Sasuke lol.
5. Q. Who are the greatest Latin players in history? How does the current Latin players stack up?

A. I already tried to answer this question before but will do it again. I don't think the historical Clarence Freeman counts because he was full blooded Native American and I have never met this "Smith" that Cesar talkts of or Karlita's father who she said can beat me, so I will not include those guys. The best Latin players in history as the evidence presents it is as follow:

1. Fredo 2.Ray 3. Jay 4. Juan 5. Luis 6. Mag 7. Pete 8. Arnold.... (after 8th place, I'm including only current active players)

gayp: 9. Sasuke 10. Cesar 11. Juanit0 12. Alvaro 13. Jaburu 14. Adrian
3 move: 9. Cesar 10. Alvaro 11. Jaburu 12. Juanit0 13.Sasuke 14. Adrian (after a consideration of Adrian's overall results we decided not to promote him yet)

6. Q. Chee people are very interested in knowing and learning about the legends of the past, can you name all the high ranking players in the history of playok (and yahoo where necessary)?

A. These are ranked by the highest level that I have witnessed from these players, it's not a ranking of current ability and does not require that a controversial player has proven their skills in 1/0. Is not in any order:

FredoBorghetti, Alex Mosieyev, Max, Clayton Nash

Ray, Jay, Matteo Bernini, Shane McCosker, Jolt, Sergio

Darion, Dale, James, Xeno, Chee, Midnight, Mag, Clint Olsen, Juan, Chris, Daniel, Qijch, Luis, Kevin

-------------- The players below are brown belt to lower level black belt -------------

Skinny, Pete, Camron, Rapor, Lee, Jecht, Jerr, Brandon, Joe Moore, Tom, Kauto, Steve, Zee, Couch, Jumpshan, Dan, Spencer, Arnold, Rishi, Yupie, Shane Webb, Alex Lopez

7. Q. Chee is it true that you are no longer involved in the Mexican dramas (Alvaro, Juanit0, Karla, Sasuke etc.)?
A. Yes this is true, I am no longer involved in the dramas with Alvaro Bolainez, Karla, Juanit0 etc. I am also taking some time off. They can do whatever they want in and out of the game, that is not my problem.

8. Q. We heard you're going to start training Cesar is that true?

A. Cesar has dedicated his life to the game. Besides his controversial games with Q and occasional fights with me, he seems to follow a code of honor. I gave him my most advanced 3 move database, lets see what he can do with it. Cesar has this to say about the database, "I like your abilities to investigating things".

There's a lot to do, going to be busy. Will see you guys in mid March in playok or you can MSN, facebook or e-mail me. Peace out.

One year after I left Boston Scientific, promising to everyone to go on and improve. Evaluation and progress reports:

Social skills, Eye Sea Yoo:

When I was at BSC, some people gave me a hard time and put a lot of pressure on me. This made me want to improve and be better. Two of the most notable ones were Nick and Eye Sea Yoo. Both would call me "cheetoh". Nick is a very loud guy and my sister was like a sister to him. Having knew Sheng before me he was surprised that I'm quiet. I felt a lot of pressure to be social because I'm Sheng's brother and Sheng was material control's crazy social girl.

Eye Sea Yoo is a loud and crazy girl, the second craziest Hmong girl I have ever met (the craziest one of course is Nuyeen Thao). She came to my attention one day and I stopped by to listen to her life's story, see what she's all about, what did she want and if I can do anything for her.

I was just some unhealthy quiet nice guy with severe anxieties, sleep apnea and hormone imbalances. I just wanted to work and didn't want to talk or be bothered by anyone. I had a hard time dealing with Nick and Eye's loud personalities which made me nervous. Eye probably thought that I had a crush on her. She was either playing around or was interested and loss it and moved on when she felt I didn't like her. Let's be honest, I don't know her full story but she seems like a great girl. I intended to become friends after I left BSC but nothing came out of it.

Oh well, I'm sure she has a great boyfriend and great friends in her life including the good people of BSC material control. They are better friends and better representatives of material control than me. I hope she would see me as just another material control guy that's kinda shy that she used to work with and not a guy that disappointed her. That's a bad feeling if a girl holds a grudge against you. I tried my best. It was not an easy last week for me at BSC, I was extremely nervous but came to get her number to be polite and because of course she is a great girl.

Eye Sea Yoo was a girl that was at BSC with the slipcoat department for a relatively short time of three years, about 5 months more than me. She was an extremely wild and friendly girl who would be very happy sometimes and sometimes seems sad. She came there around early 2012 and the clean room was still under Lue Yang before it went to JD, me, Noel and currently a girl. One of her predecessor was a pretty white girl in HPC, who NGTA's James and I blocked the way once.

I am sending Eye here to put a closure on this case. This girl pushed me hard and there is not a lot that are like her. Because of her craziness, I tried harder and went on and met great girls like Mai. I also finally reconnected with Olivia after eight years. Why was I so afraid of speaking to Olivia back then? She is just some cool Mexican girl. Today I am trying to be more friendly to the people around me because of the great people I met at BSC. Eye, thank you. You are a special girl to me. I can take this off my back and move on now. I am always a friend if I am ever called upon.

I failed but this case made me better. When a girl feel like you might not like her, she will end up not even wanting to be friends. I was in no shape to do better, I tried my best and knew the result that first day when I texted Monica that some Hmong girl at work might like me. Even though Eye left, others came in through her.

General Social Skills progress report:

I am involved in more activities now, such as fishing, boating, hunting etc. (and of course came out to Branson) and so I'm a little bit more social now. At my new job, the work culture is great and everyone is very friendly. Of the girls, I intend to get to know the Ethiopian and Hmong girl better. For some reason the Hmong girl reminds me of the crazy Nuyeen and I get nervous but I can't be anti-social anymore. I can't let them down like I let down Gloria, Pia, Eye Sea Yoo, Nuyeen etc.

At BSC with material control, we had a great loud Asian leader. This guy talks as much as the loud Nick. Now, we have another great Asian leader at my new job. He wants to inspire people, want to preach about being nice to people because you never know what kind of connections they might have, he wants us to improve our public speaking and social skills. The public speaking is going to suck but the girls and some of the guys hate it too so we will all go through it together. A lot of them are also from BSC so I already knew a few which is good.

Biochemical researches progress report:

Experience and potential: 16 years experience. Tons of academic rewards and money to be made, but very difficult and complicated problems to solve.

I have been researching the neuro-endocrine system for almost sixteen years. In the last few weeks I looked at Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate but it looks like this goes nowhere. Will need to do a thorough breakdown of the metabolic pathways and look at recharging obstacles.

Big progresses were made this year when all the different biochemicals levels were finally scientifically identified.

Professional American Draughts:
Experience and potential: 14 years experience, strong master level but not yet world class/grandmaster level. Little money to be made, just a hobby.

The great Alfredo Mercado will join Eric and myself in 2016 in Branson for the ACF 3 move Nationals. Lorne might also show up. Himhim has expressed an interest in coming out to be the party host, he may be bringing a couple women with him for us if he makes it. I believe in our champions, we will come to win.

Alfredo is training very hard at the moment, utilizing every resources out there including Eric's site and my databases. It's not as serious for me, my ideal goal is to go through all the wins and draws in all 28 databases. In 2007 I asked Russian programmer Alexander Svirin to add an import function to Aurora while studying the Brazilian style and in 2010 I used the import function to complete the 3 move database, extracting the entire Nemesis opening book.

In 2012 Russian mafia member Alexander "fawz" Krasavica and his brother, owner of a Moscow strip club sent the 10 piece database on a hard drive to me over night. I have used the 10 piece database in some analysis in the 3 move database.

In 2015 I compiled 28 databases from various sources to use with a modified version of a training method advocated by former 3 move world champion Alexander Moiseyev. Earlier today professor Dr. Jonathan Schaeffer of the University of Alberta, Department of Computing Science sent me some additional matches and I added them to the databases. I've also started digitizing and incorporating Mr.Moiseyev's book and several others into the database.

Current databases: AM 733, AJ 746, AA 33, AL 1,115, BC 315, DO 539, DL 733, EH 289, EL 1,381, JF 494, JW 740, LK 182, MP 98, MT 1,289, ML 118, MB 262, NR 170, NB 524, RJ 252, RM 470, RS 320, RY 304, RK 845, SG 265, SL 61, SS 190, WH 799, WR 412

Hobbies and sports progress report:

I switched over to deer bow hunting, an expensive but can be exciting sport. It's also something to talk about in social circles. This is my first real season, hoping to get a deer by Thanksgiving. We are focusing on the East Bethal area.

Weight training, I can lift a lot more than when I used to train with Tsuki at BSC. Have been working and hunting lately so have been taking a break for a while.

Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, I want to go back into the martial arts world soon. I've been in jiu-jitsu and judo schools over a decade over when MMA wasn't as popular and mainstream like it is today.

IT, jobs, education:
I'm not sure when I will go back to the U to finish my BA, only have six credits left. Will look into this soon.

Job wise, I am only working four days for a total of 32 hours a week but I still make more than BSC production people use to make on a 40 hour regular week. This works out perfect for me because I can choose to do overtime up to 64 hours a week and just put it on the weekdays. I will use that three day weekend to study IT after hunting season.

I have my cousin's notes and of course people like Eric Strange and Monica to give me advice. Should I become a network engineer like Monica? Or should I look at database works since I already like working with databases type of stuff. Monica is my current top female advisor, she landed a 97 k job with the Mayo Clinic but due to health reasons, she had to resign and go with a less stressful 63 k job working for the city government now.

Setbacks:

As you all know, I'm a very very heavy drinker. I was convicted of a DWI last month. Before the DWI, I had almost 40 grand but that took a lot of money from me. I will come back stronger and back on track. I will learn from this.

End of an era

Procrastination and delays in my projects have made me come back and play in playok. I have since made nine 1800s since my return with a tenth denied only because my opponent submitted when I only had three more points to go. I plan to stay until Ray's pursue of the heavyweight title comes to a conclusion, when he either win the title or give up and go away. With new cable internet, I plan to pursue the 1/0 title against Fredo and Chris one more time.

This is the Italian's era, a new era in which technical precision is going to be required to win at the highest level. As well as strong crossboard and knowledge brought over from Italian checkers, the Italians are constantly researching published play and analyzing moves with the 10 piece database.

The former heavyweight champion Ray has made a return and is aiming to regain his title. So far he has narrowly defeated Matteo, Chee and doubled Fredo in a few short series. His face off with Sergio yesterday was not successful but things can change hands as the former champion play more and more.

We also want to announce the retirement of the warrior Max, world heavyweight champion from 2010-2013. The champion cites loss of interest and a busy life. He has deleted his e-mail and all contacts with the checkers community but say that he will return to visit one day, before the year ends. It is unfortunate that the warrior Max did not defend his title against the improved Italians Sergio and Borghetti nor the improved Chris. He was arguably the best player to have ever played at playok up to this point but will unfortunately go down in history as having never faced the strongest opponents in their primes who could really well have finally defeat the warrior Max, we will never know. We wish him the best.

2013 Playok Year End Ranking:

Sergio Scarpetta - 69-35 over legend Jolt, 27-10 over legend Fredo, 10-2 over Jay, 26-14 over Chee, 21-22 loss against Chris with Sergio winning by one in their last encounter and Chris reluctant to play more non 1/0 games, winner by forfeit over former champion Max, 6-1 over Ray, 30-12 over Matteo, 3 time Italian champion ahead of Borghetti

Mexican translation:
